The Dexcom G6 takes 2 hours to start tracking your glucose. The G7 model takes 30 minutes — the shortest warm-up period of all CGMs. The FreeStyle Libre 14 Day, Libre 2, and Libre 3 systems take 1 hour. Once the sensor is inserted, Dexcom G6 and G7 sensors can last for up to 10 days, and a FreeStyle Libre sensor (all three models) up to 14 days.

Apple is currently rolling out iOS 15.7 and 16. As of now, Libre 2 app warns incompatibility with iOS 16 as they likely don't have regulatory approval to declare compatibility. June 8, 2022, the Libre2 iPhone App Fails to open using iOS 16.0 Beta 1 on my iPhone 12 Pro. Glad I only had 4 days left on the patch! Aug 15/22 - still not working for me. Tried customer support - basically asked for log info and details on app that I explained crashes upon opening. Not a great experience.
