Resizing a Boot Volume. If you're increasing the instance's boot volume, stop the instance and then detach the boot volume. If you're not increasing the size of the boot volume, you can skip these steps. On the details page for the boot volume, click Resize and then specify the new larger size. The following images illustrate this step.
