Also want to thank you, this combined with the above guide allowed me to successfully install origin games on my steam deck, playing from my SD card. I was specifically was having issues with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In Lutris I was able to get some games to install and run correctly (from an SD, too), but others would not cooperate.
If you want to fully avoid the EA app and Origin, but still keep the steam overlay do the following. 1. Uninstall EA APP, or don't install it in the first place. 2. Add the path below to the launch options. 3. When you launch the game, simply click no at the prompt. 4. Game launches and works fine. Jedi: Survivor won't launch. it installed the EA app and had me log in to that the first time. Then it immediately closed. Now it pops up the EA app for a second before closing when I try to run it through Steam. When running through the EA app it reopens the EA app instead of closing everything. Fallen Order works fine opening in both ways. Finally got it to work. I went into Desktop mode and the Jedi fallen order folder, swgame, binaries, win64, and added swgame-win64-shipping.exe to Steam. Then I when to compatibility and used proton experimental and voila. Good luck! Hi u/Ribbons_Almark, you can click here to search for your question. dopeytree. โ€ข 1 yr. ago. Then change to proton experimental & play the game. I played the whole game recently on steamdeck itโ€™s such a cool game. If not internet it means it wonโ€™t Game: Jedi: Fallen Order (Steam downloaded via Pop_shop) After I click on "Play" in Steam, new window appears, but it's blank and I can't interact with it in any way. When I hover on it with a mouse, the coursor changes depending on the position, so it may be only a problem with the display. I can't locate the EA app itself. . 159 575 258 21 334 746 266 929
