Once all subtasks had been converted into tasks, enter the task that you'd like to convert into an epic and click on More > Move. Leave the project unchanged and just change the type from task to epic. Finally, associate the tasks with the epic. Obviouslly you can manually, painstakingly do all these things.
Cat Mumumu Nov 12, 2021. All tasks under Epic seems could not adjust time duration and it is locked for the entire sprint when the task is assigned to a Sprint. Have a look at GIF below only the EPIC WOZI-1 time range could be adjusted, all other sub-tasks under the Epic, the timeframe or duration could not be changed at all.
Hi Carlyle, it depends on your current Issue. If you have an Epic open, the "Child issue" would be a regular issue e.g. a Task. If you open up the newly created Task, you can create once again a "Child issue" in this case, it becomes a "Subtask". So the hierarchy look like this: Epic -> Task -> Subtask. Or in other words.
When you're ready to clone that epic (with its tasks and task sub-tasks), run that filter (by going to your project, clicking on "view all issues and filters", and clicking on the filter you just saved). You'll now see the epics and tasks in that epic. You won't see sub-tasks but they're cloned automatically with each task.
Hi @Shasheekant Patel,. As an alternative to the limited Epic report of Jira, you could try the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.. This gadget displays the issues from a filter by their hierarchy in form of Epic > Story, Task > Sub-Task along with their current status, thus giving you a quick overview about the work content and progress.
